Forensic Chemist Bob Ollis

Hi guys,

Our next meeting will be coming up shortly this Wednesday (9/26/07) in SC212. Also for all those that couldn’t make it to our regular 12:30 meetings. We will be having this meeting at 5:00pm. Our guest speaker will be forensic chemist Bob Ollis of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. There will also be an informal Q and A session after at the Mellow Mushroom. See you there.

Oh isn’t it glorious there’s chemistry in the air. We will be having our first general meeting August 28th in SC109 at 12:30pm. Along with announcements and some really good food we will be hosting Dr. Steve Iwinski. An environmental chemist from Applied Polymer Systems Inc. The topic will be “Polymer Enhanced Best Management Practices”. He’ll speak on how polymers are used to reduce turbidity in water and the various methods used to control erosion and storm water discharges. More info can be found at www.siltstop.com -Dayne
